A CHAT WITH BRIDGE CITY BLOOMS

In this mini video feature, join NwWU host, Crystal Genes Photography as she chats with Angela Hoyt of Bridge City Blooms.

Bridge City Blooms is local to Lake Oswego and specializes in weddings and life celebrations. They pride themselves on using local flowers whenever possible, and even grow most of what they use.

Angela’s background is in landscape design and she has a horticulture degree. She spent the last 15 years working as a grower. She’s taken her passion for growing and love for design to combine into a perfect marriage with floral design. Because of that she feels she looks at plants a little differently than many people. And she thinks that helps with better understanding textures and color differences to bring out that true mood everyone is looking for.

Her go-to style is garden style, something straight out of your grandmother’s yard that looks amazing. However, she is classically trained and certified so she is able to incorporate anybody’s style and loves trying things that are new.

ANGELA’S TIP FOR ALL COUPLES

I would tell every couple to embrace their uniqueness. If there’s a hobby that you love, if you love cooking, for example, let’s incorporate herbs into your flower arrangements. Let’s find something that speaks to them so that it’s not so cookie cutter and it celebrates them.
