In this mini video feature, join NwWU host, Crystal Genes Photography as she has a chat with Shannon Huffman of Periwinkle Events NW.

Shannon Huffman is the lead planner and owner of Periwinkle Events NW LLC, based out of Clackamas County in Oregon. She specializes in wedding planning in Portland, Oregon, SW Washington, the Columbia River Gorge & PNW areas. Although she primarily serves the PNW, she is available for travel anywhere!

Shannon offers day-of coordination/management wedding planning, partial wedding planning, and full wedding planning/coordination and design! She seriously loves everything weddings and knows a lot about the industry. She has been in the industry since her early 20’s, so she has a long list of vendor recommendations.

Shannon is very detail-oriented and believes her great sense of humor sets her apart from other planners. She prefers to start the planning process 6 months prior to the date, to ensure she isn’t bothering you with questions right before the event. Shannon also takes on the role of the hostess, and is with you before, during, after the event, and every step of the way. She even has a large rental inventory if needed!

SHANNON’S TIP FOR ALL COUPLES

A lot of couples come to her and they are stressed because they feel they aren’t doing or having all the things they are “supposed” to be doing or having. She says, “It’s your day, you can do and have whatever you want, there are no rules. Whatever you want the day to look and feel like, we will make it happen. Please don’t stress about that. We’re going to make it about you guys and make all your guests feel comfortable. You don’t have to be confined to a square box.”
