In this Easton Broad Venue Tour video, some amazing and creative wedding vendors have come together to show off their expertise at one of Portland’s newest venue, Easton Broad.
We chat with Kelly Eggerss, venue owner, about the space and what makes this new hot spot so awesome.
Shannon Huffman of Periwinkle Events NW designed a beautiful space full of cream and copper details to show off the many possibilities.
This time we even brought on an amazing DJ to provide some tunes for our day of design. We interview Justin Babbitt of Paradox Productions and learn about the top-notch DJ experience couples receive from his talented team.
Schonell Ban, our bride model, wears a stunning sheer floral dress by local wedding dress designer, STEPHANIE MAI. We also get to know Vanessa Sommerfeld, of Vanessa’s Flower Shop, who was responsible for the stunning floral design.
The gorgeous cake and dessert spread was provided by Tres Belle Desserts. Portland Party Platters provided a lovely cheese platter. And Letters and Dust created a copper and acrylic welcome sign, bar sign, and matching invitation suite. She also provided the calligraphy for the place settings.
WHY BOOK YOUR WEDDING AT EASTON BROAD?
Easton Broad is a new venue located in Northeast Portland, just blocks from the Moda Center and Convention Center. What was once an industrial business building, is now a modern event venue. And the space isn’t just for weddings, many night markets and art showings are held here.
Thanks to over 100 square feet of floor-to-ceiling windows, Easton Broad is very well lit with plenty of natural light. This venue is very modern with subtle touches of repurposed materials providing a blank industrial canvas that can be dressed up or down as much as you like.
The exposed wood plank ceiling and concrete floors compliment the soft grey tones found throughout the venue. A beautiful bar with a white subway tile backsplash is a centerpiece for the venue. Bar service is available with all rentals. The space can accommodate groups up to 200 standing, and 150 seated.
HERE ARE SOME REASONS WE LOVE THIS VENUE:
With approximately 2,300 square feet of open floor space, planning and setup are a breeze! You can literally have all your wedding events in one space, allowing guests to roam freely without missing a beat.
The floor to ceiling windows are amazing for some beautiful natural light and makes the space feel even larger.
It’s a blank slate, with a sleek yet industrial feel. You can create any vision you wish in this expansive space, but it still feels warm and cozy.
Location, location, location! This venue is conveniently accessible from I-5 and I-84 near the Moda Center. There are plenty of nearby bars and restaurants for an after-party! It’s also located near several hotels for your traveling guests.
The bar is just so cute! It elevates the venue from an industrial feel to an inviting and modern space, and it is the perfect focal point. With classic white subway tile, a reclaimed wood bar top, and black metal accents, it makes for the perfect focal point. A professional and licensed bartender can be provided at an additional cost through Easton Broad.
ABOUT THIS EPISODE
Our inspiration for the design was a simple and classic yet modern feel. We chose copper and cream as our color palette, with just a touch of burnt orange for our accents. Round shapes and arches also served as inspiration. This was a small gathering, so we wanted to keep it simple yet elegant.
Vanessa Sommerfeld did all the flower arrangements for this shoot, and it was gorgeous! Her flowers were so fresh and really livened up the space.
Shannon Huffman with Periwinkle Events NW LLC, was in charge of all the planning, design, and set up of the day.
The Party Place provided the tables and beautiful copper chairs for the event. They also provided all the cream colored furniture for the lounge area.
If you are looking for the best DJ around to keep your party flowing smoothly while also keeping your guests grooving, check out Paradox Productions. The owner, Justin, joined us to show off his DJ talent and to keep us energized throughout our shoot. It was so much fun, and his level of professionalism is off the charts.
Erin Fogg, with Power Of Love Rentals, provided us with a copper cake plate, perfect for the dessert table.
The beautiful escort cards, signs, and paper products were produced by Brittany Hampton with Letters And Dust, she is amazing!
ALL ABOUT THE BEAUTY
Sarahi Welton, pronounced Sarah, is a jack of all trades! She provided both the hair and make-up for this episode. She also offers spray tans and eyelash extensions if needed!
Schonell Ban, our beautiful bride model wore a dress by STEPHANIE MAI. Stephanie Dong is a local dress designer who loves working with brides and helping them feel confident and beautiful. Many of her designs include sheer fabrics, deep cuts, and sexy slits. We’ve featured more of her gorgeous gowns in our past episodes: The Duniway Hotel & Abigail’s Hideaway and Ironlight Lake Oswego.
