A CHAT WITH THE CAKE ROOM

Wow, this cake was the most intricately detailed cake we have ever seen! It was as though it belonged to the facade of the Victorian Belle Mansion itself! A true perfectionist, Leslie’s passion is taking your grander-than-life cake and dessert ideas, and turning them into reality. A cake hanging from a tree? You got it. But what about upside down? No problem. Topsy-turvy? A million tiny stars? Glitter explosions? Let’s do it!
The Cake Room is a family owned business located based out of West Linn, OR. Leslie has been making cakes since 2003, and decided to pursue it as a business in 2008. She also teaches classes out of her residential studio, and has retail by appointment only. Leslie’s goal for all of her cakes is for them to be 100% edible.
LESLIE’S TIP FOR ALL BRIDES
Dream big. Instead of scaling back (or holding back) your ideas to fit what you think might be in your budget, tell your designer your biggest dreams and let them scale it back for you if needed. There’s more room for play in the final design if you lay out your entire vision up front, even if you know it’s more than your budget can allow.
