A CHAT WITH BEE’S CAKES at The Duniway Hotel
In this mini video feature, join NwWU hosts, Crystal Genes Photography and Angela Holm Photography as they chat with Rebecca Powazek, owner of Bee’s Cakes at The Duniway Hotel.
When Rebecca suggested making a black wedding cake for this episode, we were stoked! And then we learned it would also be hexagonal shaped and we died. I’ve been photographing weddings for 15 years and I’ve not once seen a black cake or a hexagonal cake. It’s about time! The inside of this one was vanilla cake with lemon curd, and it was delicious.
Unique and fun cakes and desserts are what Bee’s Cakes does best! They love mixing the unexpected with the expected, and coming up with creative flavors.
From their website: “Playful decorations and bold flavor combinations, our quality custom cakes, breakfast pastries, desserts and sweets are best described as ‘elevated comfort food’.“
REBECCA’S TIP FOR ALL COUPLES
Trust your wedding professional. She says there is a reason that you choose the vendors that you choose. Trusting that they will do their best to bring your ideas and vision to life is key.
